Are You Ready for the Brazilian Butt Lift?

Steps to Follow Before the Procedure

There are some steps that must be followed before you opt for a Brazilian Butt lift. These steps will help you prepare for the procedure and will tell you whether you are ready for the procedure or not.

1. Make sure to have a sufficient amount of body fat

As mentioned earlier, the Brazilian Butt lift redistributes your body fat from various places to your buttocks. You must have a sufficient amount of body fat to continue with this procedure.

Women usually accumulate fat on their tummy, love handles and their thighs as they age. These stubborn pockets of fat can be removed via liposuction and transferred to the buttocks.

Very thin women can’t undergo this surgery, as surgeons won’t find any accumulated fat in their bodies. However, if you are one of the skinny girls, you can gain some weight to make sure you are ready for the Brazilian Butt lift.

2. Healthy diet

Eating healthy is one of the vital things that you must do irrespective of the procedure that you choose. Eating a healthy diet, particularly rich in protein, healthy fats, and Zinc, would help you recover post-surgery.

Before choosing your diet plan, make sure to know your Body Mass Index (BMI). You should be around the normal BMI for your height or moderately above. If you are under 25, you need to gain some weight taking foods rich in healthy fats and carbohydrates. If you are over 35, your plastic surgeon may advice you to lose some weight so that your BBL procedure is done risk-free.

3. Exercise

To make sure that you are ready for your Brazilian Butt lift, regularly exercise before going for the procedure. Exercise will help you to improve your blood circulation. It will help you recover from the surgery as soon as possible.

In addition to this, squats and lunges will help you to naturally build up your backside, and this would be able to get the most out of your Brazilian Butt Lift surgery.

4. Avoid taking blood thinners.

We would recommend you to stop taking blood thinners for some time after consultaing with your doctor.

Blood thinners can cause you to bleed excessively after or during your buttock augmentation surgery and cause serious risks.

5. Quit or avoid smoking

Another step you must take to get your body ready for the procedure is to quit or avoid smoking. Smoking can have an adverse effect on your blood circulation.

The poorer the blood circulation of your body is, the more time it will take to recover from any surgery. That is why we recommend you quit smoking two to four weeks before the procedure and two to four weeks after.

6. Avoid alcohol

To make sure that you are ready for your buttock augmentation process, make sure to avoid or reduce your alcohol consumption. Alcohol can slow down your recovery and can cause health complications post-surgery. Be sure to indulge only in moderation.

7. Be prepared to take it easy in the recovery period

For a few weeks following your BBL surgery, you will need to avoid rigorous activity or exercise. You will need to lie on your tummy in a prone position for most of the time in the initial two weeks, so that there is no pressure on your buttocks. Be sure to wear the compression garments as advised by your surgeon.

8. Be patient to enjoy the results

Post-surgery swelling takes some time to settle down. The body also reabsorbs some of the grafted fat. So be patient and wait for a month or so before judging your BBL results.
